Context
The most likable candidate gets the job—even if they’re not the most qualified. Textio’s new report shows hiring managers make offers to people they like, not who’s best for the job. But these hires typically fail and cost businesses loads of money to replace.
Every year, Textio publishes an industry-leading data report. Since 2024, I've managed all creative execution across all touch points, including report format, layout, and design, as well as landing pages, social content, email assets, and webinar experiences.
Report coverage this year included features in Fortune, Forbes, HuffPost, and UNLEASH.
the report
After redesigning the template for our reports in 2024, 2025's report had a clear design direction pre-established. We kept things at 16:9 to optimize for desktop screen viewing, and kept content in a readable two column grid with charts labeled and dispersed throughout the report.
landing page
All emails and social content drove to the report landing page, where we offered gated access to our report via Pathfactory. These report pages are standalone designs each year, optimizing for the particular data story and what visualizations we want to share. After promotion efforts ended, the report could still be accessed via the Textio Resource Center.
digital assets
The social push for the report drove towards the landing page and registration for the corresponding webinar. Supplemental assets supported several blog posts, our email campaigns, and our webinar, Um, you're not on mute.
